In a region where the typology for school was still very much pastoral in nature, this 10-storey vertical campus set the tone for a ‘New School of Thought’.
As the second campus overall for Avenues’ global network of schools and the first Avenues campus developed and built outside of the U.S., the Sao Paulo campus was important in a number of ways. The project was a gut renovation and expansion or an office building including a 3-level subsurface garage. Since its opening in 2016, the building has continued to phase its fit-out of additional floors to meet enrollment growth as well as to better support the evolving program and community. A weekly touchbase with the operations team allowed for continued close check ins on how the facility was meeting the school’s needs as well as reviewing ongoing renovation and facility adaptation projects.
