Assoc. AIA, ALEP
As the daughter of an immigrant and growing up as a minority in the U.S., I was challenged at an early age on the concept of self, identity, and community. I found solace and refuge in drawing and sketching imaginary places and spaces. As I got older, I was lucky to be affirmed with my decision to study architecture and to follow the path that was laid out before me. At a pivotal career moment, I was presented with the opportunity to delve into the world of educational architecture and planning which I eagerly took and have not looked back.

Collaborating with school communities to develop smarter, more relevant learning environments has been the most gratifying experience. I hold immense respect for the educators I collaborate with, and increasingly impressed by the students who inspire me to continue my work as a consultant. My goal is to help as many schools and organizations as possible within the remainder of my career.
Values and Vision
We approach each project with no pre-conceived idea of a solution or agenda. We believe each challenge has its own set of opportunities and that could result in something greater than previously thought of. Our measure for success is a place that works for its users. We work in all contexts large and small, in a wide range of markets including education, commercial, residential and mixed-use.

-
Listen to understand
-
User-centric design, not user-based design
-
Re-use what you can, but know when it cannot be reused
-
Look at all possible solutions (not only building-solutions)
-
Adaptable, not just flexible
-
Design in a supporting role, not the protagonist
-
Design is a process, not a solution
-
Good design evolves with changing needs
-
Occupant wellness is top priority
-
Aesthetically pleasing, within budget
